These tours are a carefully crafted blend of rewilding inspiration and discovery, in the company of expert guides and like-minded travellers. Guests will learn about transformational nature recovery projects and meet the inspiring people involved. We offer several scheduled tours throughout the year and can also create bespoke experiences for groups of 2-12 people.

ABOUT US
SCOTLAND: The Big Picture is a charity that works to drive the recovery of nature across Scotland through rewilding, in response to the growing climate and biodiversity crises. Our vision is of a vast network of rewilded land and water where wildlife flourishes and people thrive. The charity's core focus areas are:

- Driving support for rewilding
- Committing more land and water to rewilding
- Returning missing species
- Developing rewilding business

OUR IMPACT
Our tours are designed with our planet in mind. We encourage the use of public transport to reach the Scottish Highlands by offering complimentary transfers from the nearest train/bus station. Our main accommodation provider sits within its own rewilding reserve and is part of a Scotland-wide network of landowners committed to restoring natural processes. We can cater to all dietary requirements and mainly serve a vegetarian menu, with the only meat on offer being sustainable wild venison. The talented catering team use seasonal, local produce and often incorporate foraged ingredients into the delicious menu. We are committed to developing nature-based business models that show how a rural landscape rich in nature can also support vibrant communities. As such, we work with local, independent suppliers and employ local staff, including knowledgable freelance guides. We are also a Living Wage Employer. Lastly, our rewilding tours are specifically designed to generate awareness around rewilding, and inspire guests to make changes in their own lives, whether that be rewilding their own space, or changing their spending habits to support more sustainable businesses.
