ABOUT US
The Luquina Adventures Community Tourism Association, made up of nine families, promotes sustainable tourism on Lake Titicaca’s shores. Visitors experience a charming Aymara village, its natural beauty, ancestral lifestyle, and cultural traditions, enjoying flute and drum music, traditional costumes, and hands-on activities that preserve and celebrate Luquina Chico’s heritage and landscapes.

OUR IMPACT
In the Luquina Community, we foster sustainable development by preserving our sociocultural authenticity, heritage, and traditional values, carefully balancing tourism activities with environmental conservation. Community tourism has created greater opportunities for both direct and indirect employment, enabling members to increase their incomes and improve their quality of life while sharing our unique culture with visitors.
We actively involve both young people and elders in tourism initiatives, ensuring the transmission of ancestral knowledge and practices to future generations. Our community emphasizes responsible tourism, promoting the use of clean energy in all services and activities to reduce environmental impact. Visitors can engage with traditional cultural expressions, local gastronomy, and hands-on experiences that connect them with our heritage.

Through these efforts, tourism becomes a tool not only for economic growth but also for cultural preservation and environmental stewardship, allowing the Luquina Community to maintain a harmonious balance between people, tradition, and the natural beauty of Lake Titicaca.
