Eat,Sleep,Ride

Connect with rescued horses through wellness, storytelling, and hands-on experiences that directly support community healing and land regeneration.

OUR EXPERIENCES
Eat Sleep Ride offers eight bookable experiences for travellers, combining time with our rescued herd of 18 horses with wellness activities including yoga, sound therapy, sauna ceremony, terrarium making, dark-skies storytelling, farm-to-fork dining, and overnight retreats at the historic Swinton Manse. Every experience is available in standalone, non-ridden and ridden formats, welcoming all abilities. We also offer volunteering opportunities for travellers wishing to contribute hands-on time to our rescued horses, regenerative land work, and community programmes.

ABOUT US
Eat Sleep Ride harnesses the power of rescued horses to transform lives. From a regenerated former landfill on the Scottish Borders coast, we run an off-grid charity sanctuary where every guest experience funds work with young people, women, refugees and communities the world too often forgets.

IMPACT
In 2025, Eat Sleep Ride engaged over 400 regular participants — 144 children under 14, 24 people with disabilities, 17 families experiencing low income, 7 young carers, and refugee community days delivered free at the point of access. We deliver trauma-informed work with young people aged 5–21, suicide-prevention research with Suicide Prevention Scotland, and free Creative Scotland-funded youth arts. Our 24-acre site is a former landfill we have actively regenerated: solar-powered, off-grid, with rainwater capture, on-site composting, a horse-manure biofuel project, wildflower meadows and a wildlife pond. As a registered Scottish charity (SC053818), women-founded and a graduate of School for Social Entrepreneurs Scotland, we reinvest all surplus into our mission. Every experience is place-based, weaving rescued horses' stories, regeneration of the land, and Scottish Borders cultural heritage into every guest interaction. ABRS-approved, People & Planet First verified, YouthLink and BASIS finalists 2025.
