ABOUT US

Frauenmuseum Hittisau is Austria's first and only women's museum in a rural setting, founded in 2000 on the initiative of Elisabeth Stöckler. It has hosted over 45 exhibitions on women-related topics, making women's cultural creations, histories, and stories visible, exhibited, discussed, and documented. The museum offers space for feminist perspectives, exchange, and change through diverse programs.
