OUR EXPERIENCES
WJT is professional company that produces theatre that illuminate the cast Jewish experience in order to inspire dialogue about Jewish culture and intersectionality in the community.

ABOUT US
Winnipeg Jewish Theatre was established in 1987 and is a non-profit, Canadian, professional theatre company. WJT began its life as a community theatre producing two plays a year. In 1992, WJT became a professional theatre company and a member of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres. WJT operates under the jurisdiction of the Canadian Theatre Agreement negotiated with Canadian Actors’ Equity Association.

OUR IMPACT
Winnipeg Jewish Theatre has been keeping Jewish culture alive and well in Winnipeg for over 35 years. WJT presents professional theatre of high artistic quality that reflects the Jewish experience of the past, present and future. Our Theatre encourages the creation of new Canadian plays of Jewish interest that reach across communities with universal and socially relevant themes which engage our audience in dialogue. We promote a better understanding of Jewish culture in the community at large and we encourage the development and participation of Canadian playwrights, performers and production personnel.

What are your minimum and maximum group sizes?
Space is dependent on ticket availability.

Do you require visitors to pre-book?
No, tickets may be purchased at the door one hour prior to performances.

Do you have group rates?
