ABOUT US
Ewaffe Cultural Village presents a unique opportunity to experience Uganda’s rich cultural norms and traditions. As a gateway to immersive cultural tourism, the village seamlessly blends food tourism with authentic cultural experiences. Visitors can engage in farm tours, cooking lessons, fishing excursions, pottery workshops, and captivating storytelling sessions—all designed to transport them to the heart of Uganda’s cultural essence. Guided by our vision to be a premier cultural tourism destination in Uganda and internationally, and our mission to showcase and celebrate Uganda’s cultural diversity while fostering creativity and economic growth through sustainable tourism, we are committed to values of cultural preservation, community empowerment, authenticity, and sustainability. In recognition of our efforts, we were honored with the award for Best Cultural Tourism Experience of the Year 2024 during the World Tourism Day Celebrations, hosted by the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities.
OUR IMPACT
Ewaffe offers a sustainable solution by transforming cultural heritage into a source of income and pride through immersive tourism experiences. The village creates employment for local artisans, performers, and guides, while also offering training in crafts, hospitality, and storytelling. Tourists participate in hands-on activities such as dance, cooking, and craft-making, providing a direct market for locally made goods and services. This approach not only generates income but also preserves traditional knowledge and strengthens community identity. Additionally, Ewaffe reinvests part of its proceeds into education and local infrastructure, creating a ripple effect of development. By fusing culture and commerce, Ewaffe Cultural Village presents a scalable model for inclusive growth, heritage conservation, and sustainable tourism—positioning itself as a key driver of socio-economic transformation in rural Uganda
