Travelers can join guided art walks, participate in community-driven exhibitions, and explore the fusion of arts, sports, and tourism through our interactive programs. As a non-profit, we also offer volunteering opportunities, allowing travelers to contribute to local arts education, mural projects, and the development of creative tourism.

Maboneng Township Arts Experience is dedicated to empowering communities through art, tourism, and entrepreneurship. Our mission is to redefine townships as thriving creative hubs, providing artists and entrepreneurs with sustainable market access while promoting cultural heritage. We foster economic opportunities by linking tourism with arts, sports, and hospitality, ensuring that local talent benefits directly from the growing global interest in authentic, community-based travel experiences.

OUR IMPACT
Our work uplifts township communities both socially and economically by creating jobs, supporting local artists, and directing tourism revenue into underserved areas. We have transformed over 50 township homes into gallery spaces, directly benefiting hundreds of artists and entrepreneurs. Through our supplier development program, we empower women, youth, and marginalized creatives by providing training, market access, and sustainable income opportunities.

Environmentally, we integrate eco-conscious tourism practices such as upcycled art, community beautification projects, and green design principles in our gallery spaces. Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), we ensure our experiences are accessible to all while preserving and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of South Africa’s townships.
