ABOUT US
Sharing Seeds is a not-for-profit organization registered with the Nepal Government based in Sarangkot,Tallathar village near to Pokhara city, the Tourism capital of Nepal.

We support more than 100 small local farmers to produce Organic Arabica Coffee by providing high quality coffee plants and various coffee farming trainings. We also offer new opportunities to local women in Tallathar village of Sarangkot, allowing them be involved in organic breakfast/Lunch experiences that benefit from community-based tourism and Organic beekeeping.

In every Nepali village, many youths have been flown away mostly to the Middle- East & throughout the world for a better quality of life and income. Sadly, lots of youths need to do very hard & risky jobs just for few hundred dollars salary a month and sometimes they lose their life while working in harsh conditions in these countries. Our organization is slowly motivating these youths & women to engage in sustainable cash crop farming like coffee and Beekeeping as well as community based tourism.

OUR IMPACT
More than 100+ small coffee farmers now can sell their fresh Arabica coffee cherries to us. We are offering them 30% higher prices per kg than other private & government collectors for their coffee cherries. We are also giving training and supporting the quality of coffee plants to source for these farmers. Gradually, the number of coffee plantations is increasing rapidly inside our farmer’s community. In the coming 2 years, we are expecting other 40 small farmers will join us to work in the coffee sector and many other local women to be involved in our community Tourism experience

We support 10 small Bee farmers around the area and provide them enough knowledge and techniques to begin Bee Farming. 8 families are directly involved in our community tourism opportunities, and with the support of Planeterra, we were also able to build a community café inside our community.
