La Anita Rainforest Ranch

La Anita Rainforest Ranch

Experience immersive rainforest adventures, authentic cuisine, and hands-on chocolate-making tours while supporting local communities and sustainability.

OUR EXPERIENCES
Our business is built on four core pillars: community, sustainability, tourism, and agriculture. We offer travelers an immersive experience in the heart of Costa Rica’s rainforest, where they can reconnect with nature, enjoy authentic local cuisine, and engage in meaningful cultural and chocolate-making tours. As cacao farmers and artisanal chocolate makers, we proudly guide guests through the journey from bean to bar, right in the region known as Costa Rica’s historic cacao canton. By integrating tourism with sustainable agriculture and deep community involvement, we create unforgettable, purpose-driven experiences for conscious travelers.

ABOUT US
We are a family-run eco-lodge and cacao farm in the heart of Costa Rica’s rainforest, dedicated to sustainability, community, and authenticity. Our mission is to offer guests an immersive experience that blends nature, comfort, and culture—through guided rainforest stays, farm-to-table meals, and hands-on chocolate tours. By integrating tourism and agriculture, we strive to create a business that supports local livelihoods, preserves the environment, and leaves a lasting impression on every traveler.

OUR IMPACT
Our family-run, women-led lodge and cacao farm in Costa Rica was created to share our natural and cultural heritage while benefiting the local community. We employ and train locals—many new to tourism—in sustainability, hospitality, and cultural interpretation.

We practice community-based tourism by sourcing locally, offering artisan goods, and leading cultural experiences like our “bean-to-bar” chocolate tour, which preserves cacao traditions and supports the local economy.

Sustainability is central to our operations, from composting and organic farming to reforestation and low-impact practices. We’re also committed to inclusivity, improving accessibility and ensuring all guests feel welcome.

Tourism, to us, is a way to uplift people, protect the planet, and celebrate culture.
