ABOUT US
Prakriti Resort & Organic Farm is a regenerative tourism destination in Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park Buffer Zone, Nepal that combines eco-luxury hospitality with organic farming, conservation, and community engagement. Our mission is to create an exemplary model of sustainable living that supports regenerating ecosystems and local livelihoods, and inspires travelers through immersive learning in circular economy and zero-waste practices. We envision a future where tourism actively regenerates nature and communities, setting a benchmark for responsible travel in Nepal.
OUR IMPACT
At Prakriti Resort & Organic Farm, our regenerative tourism model creates tangible impact through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) approach, working closely with local governing bodies to strengthen sustainable development systems. Our business model integrates circular economy principles while ensuring community ownership by offering company shares and prioritizing local employment—currently, nearly 80% of our jobs are held by community members, keeping economic benefits within the region. We source over 70% of our food locally, directly supporting farmers and small businesses, while also celebrating and showcasing the cultural traditions of surrounding communities as part of the regenerative travel experience.
Environmentally, our organic farm and forest restoration initiatives rehabilitate degraded land, conserve biodiversity, and apply zero-waste practices to minimize ecological impact. Through experiential journeys, workshops, and collaborations with universities, we offer travelers and students hands-on education in regenerative practices. Our impact includes reducing landfill waste through composting, generating dignified rural livelihoods, training youth and women in organic farming, and co-developing sustainable systems with local governments. By uniting community ownership, environmental regeneration, and cultural preservation, Prakriti is setting a leading example of regenerative tourism in Nepal.
