ABOUT US
Castronovo Chocolate is a micro-batch, bean-to-bar chocolate company committed to rainforest preservation and ethical collaboration with indigenous communities. From our factory in Stuart, Florida, we craft award-winning chocolate using rare, heirloom cacao sourced directly from groups like the Awajún, Arhuacos, Piaroa, and Piapoco—stewards of some of the world’s most biodiverse ecosystems. For travelers seeking a truly local experience with global impact, Castronovo offers a taste of a nature-based economy that uplifts indigenous voices, protects endangered cacao varieties, and redefines what ethical chocolate can be.

OUR IMPACT
Castronovo Chocolate creates measurable impact across rainforest ecosystems and indigenous communities by sourcing heirloom cacao directly from groups such as the Awajún, Arhuacos, Piaroa, and Piapoco. These partnerships support a nature-based economy that protects biodiversity, empowers women, and sustains cultural traditions—often providing 2–3x commodity rates for cacao. Founder Denise Castronovo serves on the Board of Directors of the Amazon Conservation Team, a nonprofit that partners with over 50 indigenous groups to protect ancestral lands, biodiversity, and cultural heritage across the Amazon. Our business model reinvests in community-led initiatives like land preservation and sea turtle protection, while our storytelling and sourcing transparency educate travelers on ethical consumption. Every bar is a tangible link to global conservation, indigenous resilience, and the power of regenerative enterprise.
