The Global Meaningful Travel Map
TREKKINGTHAI
OUR EXPERIENCES
TrekkingThai is a small ecotourism operator founded in 1999 with a passion for connecting tourists with nature. We offer hiking and trekking tours in Thailand, along with various types of ecotourism experiences.
ABOUT US
We develop and implement various methods to facilitate extraordinary and meaningful experiences through eco-tourism. Our focus is on promoting physical and mental well-being, fostering connections with nature, encouraging personal growth, empowering our clients, and addressing the challenges of climate change.
TrekkingThai has joined the Glasgow Declaration and is actively involved in developing credible, feasible, and affordable tools to help micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) achieve net-zero emissions. Additionally, we are focused on creating nature-positive solutions to combat the biodiversity loss crisis.
OUR IMPACT
We have trained over 110 community-based tourism participants in Thailand to manage greenhouse gas emissions, guiding them to certification. As a tour operator, we ensure that the economic benefits of our packages support local communities, particularly partners in nature protection areas (>30 local partners). We founded the Thailand Net Zero Tourism Network to enhance climate literacy among MSME tourism businesses and launched the Nature Positive Tourism Creative Center in 2024 to promote nature-positive goals in Thailand’s tourism sector. As a signatory of the Glasgow Declaration and a member of the Thailand Net Zero Tourism research team, we are committed to driving sustainable tourism initiatives.
