Biomuseo

Biomuseo

This unique interpretive center showcases Panama's biodiversity and cultural heritage, featuring striking architecture and engaging exhibits for all visitors.

OUR EXPERIENCES
We are an interpretive center dedicated to Panama that explores the relationship between its biodiversity and its cultures. Our building, designed by Frank Gehry, tells the story of how the Isthmus of Panama emerged from the sea, joining two continents, separating a great ocean in two and changing the biodiversity of the planet forever. We aim to educate, inspire and connect, to foster curiosity about our natural environment and strengthen bonds between people and ideas.

ABOUT US
To bring about change by educating about the interdependence between life and its environment.

OUR IMPACT
The Biomuseo is the most-visited museum in Panama City, receiving up to 180,000 visitors every year. As such, it is the prime institution for the diffusion of scientific knowledge and the promotion of the appreciation and conservation of Panama’s rich natural and cultural diversity among Panamanians and visitors to our country.
