Castle Howard is a Baroque masterpiece designed by Sir John Vanbrugh, home to the Howard family for over 300 years. One of Britain’s most celebrated stately homes, it features dramatic architecture, richly layered interiors, world-class art collections, and a living canvas of gardens with lakes, temples, follies, woodland, and statues. The 120-acre Arboretum offers tranquility with global trees and biodiversity. Visitors experience the 21st Century Renaissance restoration, including the revived Tapestry Drawing Room lost to fire in 1940.
