Tracey's Farmhouse Kitchen

Experience traditional Northern Irish cooking in a scenic 18th-century cottage, with sustainable practices and guided nature tours on Strangford Lough.

OUR EXPERIENCES
I offer traditional Northern Irish soda bread-making experiences from my family home—an 18th-century thatched cottage on the shores of Strangford Lough, an area of outstanding natural beauty and a marine nature reserve. We also offer on-the-water experiences, providing guided tours focused on the region’s marine and bird life.

ABOUT US
We are a family business. All of our experiences—both on the water and in our home—promote sustainable food practices while preserving our culture and heritage. We live on a farm where life moves at a slower pace, and we strive to be as sustainable as possible.

We grow all our own fruit, vegetables, and herbs, and we raise our own beef and pork.

Our traditional cooking and bread-making experiences follow a 'plot-to-plate' philosophy. We cook from scratch, offering experiences that are uniquely Northern Irish.

We live off the land, growing our own vegetables and rearing our own pork, lamb, and beef.

Our experiences align with UN Sustainable Development Goals 11 and 12.

OUR IMPACT
We are a family business rooted in our community, employing local staff and collaborating with artisan producers to showcase their food and drink. Inclusivity is at our core, welcoming people from all backgrounds, including our LGBTQ+ team members.

Preserving our culture is a priority. Through our Northern Irish food and drink experiences, we share the traditions of our ancestors, giving visitors a deeper connection to our heritage.

Committed to sustainable tourism, we continuously improve our practices and grow 90% of our own produce using chemical-free methods.

As a local experience provider, we offer authentic insights into our way of life, ensuring visitors leave with a true appreciation of our traditions and land.
