Dedicated to reconnecting people with the environment, the Center offers interpretive hikes, workshops, exhibits, and other programs for public enjoyment. Visitors experience hands-on learning opportunities that explore the natural, cultural, and archaeological heritage of the preserve.
ABOUT US
The mission of the Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center is to empower citizens to make informed decisions about natural and cultural resources. Center programs interpret the natural, cultural, and archaeological history of the preserve to demonstrate how the environment and people support and shape each other.
IMPACT
Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center features exhibits that help visitors understand natural Florida, ancient and modern peoples, and how the two have shaped each other. Our exhibit gallery, Weedon Island Preserve: Connecting People and Place, offers 6,000 square feet of interactive exhibits designed to engage visitors of all ages while fostering awareness and appreciation of the region’s environmental and cultural heritage.

Thursday–Saturday, 9:00am–4:00pm; Sunday, 11:00am–4:00pm. Closed Monday–Wednesday and all County holidays.

The facility is equipped with a ramp and elevator.
