Dibulla: 4 Different Experiences
OUR EXPERIENCES
History Travelers offers a range of experiences in Dibulla. Here are four of them: “Dibulla's traditional cuisine route: ideal place to taste again” Take your senses on a journey of tropical flavors, tastes and feelings. Share the preparation of food with traditional cooks, taste new food products and listen to incredible life experiences, childhood memories, longings and thoughts by the fire. With these teachers and transmitters of knowledge, you will learn how to cook with local products and you will taste the results. "Noches de faena: stories of a fishing village" Share a fishing campfire with those who know the secrets of the sea and learn about each of the techniques and equipment required. Weave the nets to be used for fishing with your own hands and help the women process the catch. Sit down to talk about myths, omens and experiences at sea and learn about all the knowledge surrounding the culture of fishing! You can also choose to learn how to cook a traditional dish with the local women. “Dibulla, land of songwriters” Discover characters in the town's streets who create and perform verses to coastal rhythms. Join them, be surprised by their compositions, and become the protagonist of a verse! Don't miss the Estampas Punteras Dance Group, sharing regional stories and traditions through captivating movements. Enjoy hours of songs, verses, and the warmth of a fire. Learn to play traditional instruments with "los hijos de Carlos Huertas" and compete in verse contests. Watch the Estampas Punteras dance group perform or join a dance class. Immerse yourself in cultural experiences with a local guide in Dibulla, lasting 1-2 hours based on your preference. “Dibulla, ideal place to discover and visit” Experience the city's history and monuments on foot, or choose a rural adventure. In the urban tour of Dibulla, explore its streets, landmarks, and cultural attractions. Walk or ride a traditional motorbike with a local guide, lasting 1-2 hours. For rural exploration, choose between two paths: "El Lagarto" along the beach, or "El Cerro" on a rural road. Enjoy the coastal scenery, birdwatching, and the story of an old sugar mill. The Lagarto trail takes 3 hours, while the Hill path is a 40-minute walk. Both include hydration, snacks, and stories from a local guide.
