OUR IMPACT
The Association of Community Rural Tourism Services, ASETUR RUMILLACTA, brings together local families to promote and preserve the cultural heritage of Sibayo, ensuring that its traditions are passed on to future generations. The association emphasizes gender equality, with women playing a leading role in the management and delivery of tourism services and activities. Through these initiatives, culinary techniques, local ingredients, and traditional recipes are safeguarded, creating a living legacy that young people actively participate in preserving.
Beyond gastronomy, the association offers visitors the opportunity to engage with ancestral practices, including traditional weaving, llama walking, and cultural exchanges within family homes. Tourism not only generates income for the community but also strengthens social cohesion, pride in local identity, and environmental stewardship. By promoting responsible tourism, ASETUR RUMILLACTA ensures that visitors experience the rich history, architecture, and customs of Sibayo while supporting a sustainable model that benefits the community and preserves its unique heritage for generations to come.
