Power To Be

Power To Be

Experience inclusive nature adventures with adaptive activities like hiking and kayaking, fostering community and connection for all abilities year-round.

OUR EXPERIENCES
Power To Be provides inclusive and adaptive nature-based adventures, supporting individuals living with barriers, challenges, or disabilities to connect with nature and engage in activities they might otherwise not access.

We work with individuals, families, community groups, and partners. Our core activities include inclusive hiking, kayaking, big canoeing, environmental education, and overnight trips. We also host volunteer work parties to help maintain our site.

ABOUT US
From hiking and kayaking to camping and snowshoeing, we create opportunities for youth, families, and adults living with cognitive, physical, financial, and social barriers to access nature.

Our programs redefine courage, hope, inclusion, and ability, while showcasing the invaluable benefits of nature-based activities for everyone. Beyond recreation, spending time in nature fosters community, supports a healthy lifestyle, fuels the body, guides the heart, and mends the soul.

We believe access to nature is a fundamental right, and everyone belongs in nature. Our mission is delivered by a team of committed, caring, and skilled staff and volunteers.

OUR IMPACT
Our focus is on inclusion, the environment, and community. We connect our purpose to others through our programs and partnerships, advancing the idea of inclusion by providing meaningful services, programs, and workshops that educate others on how to support people with diverse needs.

Through our Catalyst for Good model, we actively work with the community to shift perspectives and actions regarding the environment, community, and the not-for-profit sector. By giving back, hosting critical conversations, and aligning our practices with our values, we aim to create change at the local, regional, and national levels.
