The Global Meaningful Travel Map
San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum
OUR EXPERIENCES
Did you know African descendants have been in the San Antonio region since 1529? The African influence runs wide and deep. We invite you to visit our exhibit space, participate in our program offerings, and take a tour to have fun and discover untold stories.
ABOUT US
The San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum exists to collect preserve and share the African American cultural heritage of the San Antonio region.
OUR IMPACT
For too long, history was only told through colonization lens. SAAACAM provides a look at history through an African descendant lens. Walk through a cemetery with us as we "dig up" buried stories. Ride the famous San Antonio river and learn how the river once divided the city by race, color and economic status. Visit our exhibit space and see the legacy of African descendants in San Antonio.
