Parador de Limpias
OUR EXPERIENCES
At Parador de Limpias, guests can enjoy a blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and relaxed luxury. Set within the lush gardens of the historic Eguilior Palace, the experience begins with peaceful walks through tree-lined paths and continues with a taste of authentic Cantabrian cuisine at the on-site restaurant, where regional specialties like marmita de bonito and quesada pasiega are crafted from locally sourced ingredients. Guests can unwind in the outdoor seasonal pool or the heated indoor pool, or stay active with tennis, paddle courts, and a fully equipped gym.
Beyond the grounds, the Parador offers easy access to Laredo’s beaches, the Marismas de Santoña Nature Reserve, and cultural landmarks like the San Pedro Church and the UNESCO-listed Covalanas cave paintings. Whether you're seeking nature, history, or quiet retreat, the Parador provides a deeply rooted local experience—ideal for romantic getaways, family stays, or serene solo escapes.
ABOUT US
With a population of less than 2,000 inhabitants, Limpias is a Cantabrian town where the Parador represents a fundamental pillar for economic and social development. In addition to being a generator of direct employment and a source of activity for the municipality, this Parador stands out for its participation in the “Nature for the Senses” program, an initiative that connects visitors with the essence of the territory. Through the experiences offered by its specific program, such as a visit to a traditional cannery, the Parador allows guests to discover the elaboration process of typical Cantabrian products, thus promoting responsible consumption and knowledge of local gastronomy.
OUR IMPACT
Parador de Limpias actively supports sustainable tourism through the Paradores Sustainability Plan 2030, with initiatives like solar thermal energy, LED lighting, EV charging stations, and a strong focus on locally sourced food—over 70% from Cantabria. The hotel maintains its historic 19th-century Eguilior Palace and protects its 55,000 m² garden estate, home to native and heritage tree species, reinforcing its commitment to environmental preservation and adaptive reuse.
Culturally, the Parador preserves and promotes Cantabrian heritage through traditional dishes like marmita de bonito and quesada pasiega, and by showcasing local art and architecture. It supports the local economy by hiring regionally and collaborating with nearby sites like the San Pedro Church and Covalanas cave paintings. Events and cultural programs help strengthen ties with the community, making the Parador not just a hotel, but a cultural and ecological steward in the region.
