OUR EXPERIENCES
Founded in 2021, Rohi’s Readery and Rohi’s Liberation Station 501c3 is an award winning social justice driven bookstore and learning center dedicated to critical literacy that promotes inclusivity and diversity by honoring HISTORICALLY MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES. For the kids....and the adults too!
ABOUT US
At Rohi’s Readery and Rohi’s Liberation Station, we recognize that literacy is not just about reading—it is about liberation, identity, and empowerment. Our spaces serve as vital community hubs where storytelling, culturally responsive education, and trauma-informed care intersect to create a foundation for healing and strength.
Mission: Rohi’s Liberation Station 501c3, a critical nonprofit initiative by Rohi's Readery, honors historically marginalized communities through a multigenerational literacy learning approach—integrating healing, storytelling, creativity, and connection.
Vision: Leading transformative change through the power of reading, we envision a world where communities thrive in cultural pride, social healing, and limitless growth through multigenerational literacy learning.
IMPACT
Over the past nearly four years, Rohi's Readery has made significant strides in promoting inclusivity and diversity through literature and community engagement. Since our founding in 2021, we've developed over 200 partnerships with organizations committed to educational liberation and social justice.
Our commitment to critical literacy has fostered a space where individuals from historically marginalized communities feel seen and valued. Through our diverse selection of books and educational programming, we've created an environment that encourages exploration and understanding of various cultures and identities—cultivating conscious citizens of all ages.
To date, we have hosted over 500 free community events and continue to offer nearly 15-20 free events every month to ensure accessibility and engagement for all. Additionally, our DEIAB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging) services have grown by 600% since 2021, further amplifying our impact in education and community spaces, especially given the climate in Florida.
As we continue to grow, our mission remains steadfast: to provide a space for a multigenerational community of Revolutionary Readers and to ensure we are collectively in solidarity toward liberation. Our journey thus far has been marked by co-collaborative experiences, dedication, and we look forward to building upon this foundation in the years to come.
