The Global Meaningful Travel Map
Casba Società Cooperativa Sociale- Migrantour Napoli
OUR EXPERIENCES
Casba offers intercultural walking tours through Naples’ most multicultural neighborhoods, designed and led by citizens with migrant backgrounds. Each itinerary invites travelers to discover the city through the eyes of those who live it from within, weaving together personal stories, spirituality, food, art, and collective memory. Visitors experience authentic moments of connection and discovery, from mosques to temples, artisan workshops to street food from around the world.
ABOUT US
Casba is a social cooperative founded in Naples in 2000 by a group of cultural mediators and social workers from diverse backgrounds. We work to combat social exclusion, promote coexistence between Italian citizens and newcomers, and highlight the skills and cultures of people with migrant backgrounds. Through cultural mediation services, educational activities, and public initiatives such as intercultural walking tours, we build bridges between communities and make the city’s diversity visible and valued.
OUR IMPACT
Casba generates positive impact across multiple areas. The cooperative is composed of cultural mediators and professionals with migrant backgrounds, who actively participate in the governance and design of our activities. Our intercultural walking tours, one of our main public initiatives, have a strong social and cultural impact: they amplify the voices of migrant citizens, foster dialogue between residents and visitors, and challenge stereotypes and prejudice. The tours are conducted on foot, engaging with real places in the city through a sustainable and respectful approach. Each itinerary is also a moment of informal education and awareness-building, revealing stories of migration, spirituality, work, and coexistence, while showcasing the skills of individuals and the richness of cultural diversity.
