OUR EXPERIENCES
We craft enriching slow travel adventures amidst Romania's stunning rural and natural landscapes.

ABOUT US
The Slow Travellers was born out of the need to slow down and focus on what matters most.We felt that it is our duty to strive to foster sustainable tourism practices that safeguard natural and cultural ecosystems. By advocating alternative travel methods, we aim to mitigate adverse tourism impacts and cultivate positive contributions to local areas. We knew we could count on the key resources that Romania has to offer: people, places, stories. Our mission is to curate immersive travel experiences in Romania, emphasizing slow travel, community-based tourism, and nature-centric activities. We envision a future where travelers embrace the beauty of Romania through mindful exploration, fostering authentic connections with local communities and nurturing the pristine natural landscapes for generations to come.

OUR IMPACT
Slow travel is undeniably a sustainable way to travel, allowing for closer contact with local communities and a deeper appreciation of the places you visit. By valuing rural communities and preserving nature, we invest in our future. Education, entrepreneurship, physical infrastructure, and social infrastructure are all crucial for the development of rural areas. We start small but aim high. Through growing this community, we aim to: - Empower locals to view tourism as a means to increase their income. This can be achieved by transforming daily farm activities into engaging tourist experiences (such as herding animals, milking cows, cooking traditional food, hay stacking, weaving, and foraging) or by helping them start small businesses (like restaurants, B&Bs, or local tour guiding). - Raise awareness about the importance of protecting and cherishing nature, as it is vital for all of us.
