OUR EXPERIENCES
We offer immersive heritage and marine experiences along Ireland’s wild Shannon Estuary. Our Scattery Island Tours bring travelers to a sacred monastic island—once my father’s home and now a protected heritage site and Special Area of Conservation. Through Discover Dolphins, guests encounter our resident dolphin population under a strict eco-code, combining wildlife education with rich local storytelling.
ABOUT US
We are a family-owned tourism business creating meaningful experiences on and around Scattery Island and the Shannon Estuary. Rooted in place, heritage, and conservation, our mission is to share the stories, wildlife, and cultural richness of this special region through low-impact, high-value experiences that benefit both visitors and the local community. We believe tourism should give back more than it takes.
OUR IMPACT
Our experiences bring tourism benefits to a rural coastal community that has historically seen little direct impact from the visitor economy. By connecting travelers to Scattery Island’s rich monastic heritage and the biodiversity of the Shannon Estuary, we promote conservation awareness, cultural preservation, and local pride. We follow national wildlife protection codes, employ locally, and offer accessible options for visitors with reduced mobility. As a family business with deep roots on the island, we champion a regenerative approach—ensuring tourism contributes positively to both place and people.
