OUR EXPERIENCES
We provide a comprehensive tourism service catering to both international and local visitors. Our aim is to offer an immersive experience that connects visitors with nature, offers thrilling afternoon adventures, and facilitates community tours. Additionally, we provide opportunities for volunteers to participate in and contribute to various projects and programs aimed at development and community engagement. The combination of activities such as hiking, tours, and bird and whale watching, framed by a commitment to education and conservation, provides a rich and multifaceted experience.
ABOUT US
The mission of Isla Otoque OBC is to enhance the conservation efforts of the Isla Bona Refuge. Our vision is to become a community leader with an environmental and sustainable tourism focus, positively impacting the welfare of marine fauna in our environment, while also fostering the development of local communities.
OUR IMPACT
As a Community-Based Organization (CBO), our focus is on fostering sustainable tourism practices. We achieve this by promoting responsible tourism behaviors, raising awareness about environmental issues, and creating economic opportunities within local communities. Additionally, we engage community members in the conservation, monitoring, and management of the Isla Bona Wildlife Refuge buffer zone. Our efforts prioritize the empowerment of women through training programs, the creation of fair employment opportunities, and active involvement in community decision-making processes.
