OUR EXPERIENCES
Our sponsored opportunities are designed to be dynamic and empower your team on watershed issues, particularly post-Helene. Topics can include a brief history of Asheville and the French Broad River, RiverLink’s founding, the role of conserved lands in the regions’ recovery, site-specific historical background, native and non-native plant identification, invasive plant management techniques, green infrastructure practices and more!

ABOUT US
RiverLink promotes the environmental and economic vitality of the French Broad River and its watershed for all. RiverLink accomplishes its mission by improving watershed health and climate resilience, providing permanent public access to the river through conservation and recreation easements, reclaiming contaminated lands for public use and enjoyment, empowering over 1,000 volunteers each year, and annually educating over 4,000 students, as well as the public at large, about the importance of a healthy French Broad River watershed.

OUR IMPACT
RiverLink is delighted to connect with organizations that share our passion for stewarding lands and caring for our French Broad River waterways and the communities that live alongside her – now more important than ever post-Helene. Our work takes us to conservation and recreational properties throughout the region where we strive to manage and maintain their natural conservation values and restore critical habitat post storm.

Our volunteer opportunities include sites that honor the area’s historic black communities, RiverLink’s rich legacy in the region, and beautiful conservation properties throughout the City of Asheville. We are delighted to marry your volunteer experience with your passions and interests.
