OUR EXPERIENCES
Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is a qualified caretaker for 460 acres of southwest Pennsylvania’s land and water. In addition to ongoing conservation efforts such as mitigating acid mine drainage and reforestation projects, the Garden provides 65 acres of cultivated gardens and woodlands for the public to connect to plants. Through this innate experience, young minds are engaged, gardeners are inspired, and all visitors find a sense of calm.

Our interactive activities and programs are available to a range of ages, including children, families and adults, in an effort to educate visitors on the region's nature, as well as provide a place for them to build meaningful connections with nature.

The Garden is open year-round.
April - September: Mondays Closed; Tuesday 9 - 5; Wednesday & Thursday 9 - 7; Friday - Sunday 9 - 5.
October - March: Mondays Closed; Tuesday - Sunday 9 - 5.
What accommodations do you make for people living with disabilities?
All are welcome to enjoy the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. When planning your visit, please consider that the Garden is intended to be a walking experience and most pathways are outdoors. Pathways may have a paved, woodchip or fine gravel surface. A map is available on the website and in the Welcome Center. You may encounter steps and/or slopes on certain walkways. ADA-accessible restrooms are available. The Garden has adult and child-sized wheelchairs available by advance registration.
