ABOUT US
The Misminay Moray Experiential Tourism Association, composed of 17 families, shares Andean astronomy beneath the vast starry sky. Visitors experience ancestral knowledge near the Moray agricultural center, discovering ancient techniques that sustain food quality and community life, while connecting with the cosmos, tradition, and the enduring wisdom of Misminay’s ancestors.

OUR IMPACT
The organization fosters economic growth and local empowerment while preserving cultural traditions and sharing them with visitors. By showcasing their heritage, the community strengthens its identity and inspires younger generations to protect ancestral knowledge, including agricultural practices, weaving, natural wool dyeing, medicinal plant use, and the Andean worldview, which teaches that humans receive from the earth and the sky guides their path. These practices, despite the passage of time, remain alive in the community.

The organization also promotes principles of “good living,” emphasizing gender equality, shared responsibilities, and the active participation of both youth and elders. By valuing these principles, the community safeguards its cultural and natural heritage, ensuring that traditions, wisdom, and sustainable practices continue to thrive. Visitors experience a living culture that honors its past while building a resilient and vibrant future rooted in respect for nature, knowledge, and communal harmony.
