NaviTour

Experience authentic, local adventures in rural areas with knowledgeable guides, promoting sustainable tourism and inclusivity for all travelers.

OUR EXPERIENCES
NaviTour is an operating system for guides to connect travelers with experiential guides who provide deeper and more meaningful travel experiences. We strive to fill the gap in the market by providing local, authentic, experiences in rural areas in states like Maine. We focus on local communities and sustainable tourism.

ABOUT US
Our Mission is to promote healthy, captivating, enjoyable, and invigorating travel that’s unmistakably good. This is delivered by people who feel respected, empowered, and find joy in sharing the wonders of home. NaviTour is to show and provide livable wage jobs to local people, that allows them to share their wisdom, passion, and knowledge with travelers through experiences that each party values.
We began a trip to Europe. While on the tours, I found myself wanting to learn more about the guides and wanting to use the same tech that I’ve grown used to in social media. So, I began researching about Tour Guides. I found how little they were paid, the missing populations of BIPOC and LGTBQ+ guides, and the challenges that they faced by not having the same opportunities that you are provided with when working with larger tour operators. From this trip, NaviTour was born.

OUR IMPACT
We provide both guides and the traveler a platform to find authentic, local travel experience. We empower our guides to build their own brands and relationships, to own, market and expand their businesses through not competing against one another and by paying reasonable commissions. We strive to include BIPOC, LGBTQ+, deaf, blind and visually impaired on our team. One of the resources is Campfire, which all of guides have access to. Campfire is a platform that gives guides the opportunity to learn from instructors around the world with various courses. Through a sense of intuition and innovation, we strive to help the following Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education, Industry, innovation & Infrastructure, and Partnership for the Goals.
