Las Qolqas Eco Lodge

Las Qolqas Eco Lodge

Immersive tented stays blending comfort, nature, and adventure, while supporting local communities and restoring the Sacred Valley’s ecosystems.

OUR EXPERIENCES

Las Qolqas Eco Lodge lies on the outskirts of Ollantaytambo, a pre-Columbian Inca village nestled halfway between Cusco and Machu Picchu. Surrounded by a valley where traditions have flourished for centuries, guests enjoy an immersive, sensorial experience that blends nature, comfort, and adventure. Elegantly designed tented accommodations offer a deep connection to nature without compromising modern comforts, including private patios, wood stoves, electric heating, minibars, safes, and hot showers.

ABOUT US

At Las Qolqas, we believe luxury and sustainability go hand in hand. Our eco-retreat is crafted not only for guest comfort but also with a deep commitment to responsible travel and local empowerment. We take a 360-degree approach to sustainability, encompassing the environment, cultural heritage, circular economies, and community well-being, with the goal of leaving the valley better than we found it.

IMPACT

Once a cornfield, our grounds have been transformed into a botanical garden where native trees and flowers of the Sacred Valley thrive once again, welcoming hummingbirds and other local species back to the area. We use efficient irrigation systems, produce our own compost, avoid chemical pesticides, and operate with a strict no–single-use-plastic policy. Solar panels power our facilities, drinking water is treated on-site, and wastewater is processed through bio-digesters and a natural wetland system. We hire locally and provide professional hospitality training, source honey, fruit, and trout from neighboring producers, and partner with local weaving communities whose textiles are featured throughout the property and sold in our boutique. We also sponsor Casa Kuska, a local children’s library and community center that promotes learning, creativity, and essential life skills.
