Taking place year-round, each ecotour weaves together education, adventure, and stewardship into a memorable outdoor experience. Martin County, Florida, is a hidden gem with countless outdoor wonders ready to be discovered. With over 22 miles of uncrowded beaches, more than 115,000 acres of parks and conservation land (including 5 state parks), 4 aquatic preserves, and the Indian River Lagoon (one of the most biodiverse estuaries in the Northern Hemisphere), Explore Natural Martin’s guided ecotours venture off the beaten path to show visitors a new side of Florida, forming strong connections to the surrounding environment and inspiring their protection for generations to come.

OUR IMPACT
Through offering free guided ecotours for visitors and residents, Explore Natural Martin makes experiencing the outdoors more accessible for all. By educating participants on the importance of our local ecosystems and the importance of following the 7 principles of Leave No Trace, Explore Natural Martin helps to protect our natural areas and inspire people to become destination stewards. Further, through various partnerships, Explore Natural Martin provides local experts a platform to share their knowledge on Martin County history, nature, sustainability initiatives, and more.

What accommodations do you make for people living with disabilities?
Accessibility varies by tour, as each is unique and takes place at a variety of locations – please get in touch directly if you have accessibility requirements, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Martin County is an official Wheel the World partner, and rolling beach wheelchairs are available for free use at Martin County guarded beach locations. Jonathan Dickinson State Park also provides a free all-terrain track chair for those with mobility needs. Additionally, the Martin County Office of Tourism & Marketing is a Certified Autism Center™ and all staff have earned their Certified Autism Travel Professional™ (CATP) credentials through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education (IBCCES).
