Cocoa Valley Resort
OUR EXPERIENCES
Cocoa Valley's story unfolds in Pua, Nan Province, Thailand's northern region, where we meticulously care for cocoa plants, nurturing them from small seedlings using organic practices. Our commitment extends beyond farming; we've built a cocoa-themed haven for travelers. We offer comfortable accommodations, a charming cocoa café, and engaging cocoa workshops, all designed to immerse visitors in the local way of life while fostering sustainable income opportunities within the community. Our journey is one of harmony between cocoa cultivation and community collaboration. We believe in sharing the fruits of our labor with the people of the land. Through this synergy, Cocoa Valley provides travelers with a rich, authentic experience while contributing to the well-being of the community, a journey that celebrates nature's bounty and human connection.
ABOUT US
Our vision is to share the story of Thai Cocoa through an authentic local experience in Thailand's Nan Province. We operate on the principle of "Sufficiency", striving to benefit our visitors, create sustainable income aligned with the local way of life, and promote overall sustainable development. Our mission is to open up the world of Thai Cocoa by offering insights and experiences in Nan Province, where we organically cultivate cocoa in watershed areas and process it using traditional practices. Our "Real Chocolate" is derived from cocoa trees nourished by natural mountain springs, resulting in a genuine chocolate product that undergoes meticulous manual processing involving the local community, including the elderly, creating jobs and income while preserving the rich tradition of cocoa cultivation.
OUR IMPACT
Our cocoa serves a greater purpose beyond being a delightful treat. It has transformed into a lifeline for the Nan Watershed community, a vital source of water in Thailand. Cocoa has become a symbol of "hope" for the small community in Nan Province, contributing to the Nan Forest Conservation Project. We've introduced young cocoa trees to support highland farmers, allowing them to cultivate cocoa alongside their traditional forest practices, ensuring long-term income. These cocoa trees have reclaimed once barren mountains, adding to our nation's forested areas. Villagers sell cocoa, securing their livelihoods, creating a profound interconnectedness. Our commitment extends to involving the local community, particularly the elderly, in various cocoa-related processes, offering job opportunities and income generation. We continuously explore innovative ways to utilize every part of cocoa, even repurposing leftover cocoa shells to create woven cloth dyed with cocoa, weaving together the threads of Nan's culture and fostering social cohesion within the community.
