The Global Meaningful Travel Map
Debris Free Oceans
OUR EXPERIENCES
Debris Free Oceans offers engaging, eco-conscious events in Miami, perfect for travelers seeking meaningful experiences. Depending on our event schedule, visitors can take part in beach, kayak, or scuba cleanups—removing marine debris while enjoying Miami’s natural beauty. We also host lifestyle events like zero-waste parties and eco-fashion shows, blending entertainment with sustainability education to showcase practical ways to reduce plastic use in everyday life.
ABOUT US
Our mission is to empower local communities to go zero waste, ensuring access to clean oceans and a healthy environment for all. We achieve this through sustainability consulting, outreach and education, community events, and policy advocacy.
OUR IMPACT
Since our inception in 2014, Debris Free Oceans has engaged over 12,000 volunteers in removing more than 50,000 pounds of trash from the environment, educated over 14,000 students about plastic pollution and waste, and prevented more than 2 million single-use plastics from entering the waste stream. We are committed to diversity and inclusivity by providing accessibility accommodations upon request and hosting programs in inland communities that have historically been underrepresented in sustainability efforts.
