OUR EXPERIENCES
Gary L. Flowers, dubbed "The Ambassador of Jackson Ward" provides 20-stop walking tours of Historic Jackson Ward in downtown Richmond, Virginia. Tours reveal the educational, economic, religious, benevolent, civic, and cultural institutions that inspired the moniker, "Black Wall Street,", and "The Harlem of the South", making the Ward an early model of Black Capitalism in the United States of America. Tours cover 1.5 miles in distance, and extend 2.5 hours., at a cost of $20 per tourist. Payment must be received prior to tour date.

ABOUT US
Gary L. Flowers is an eighth generation Virgininian, and fourth generation of his Family to live in Historic Jackson Ward, dating back to his maternal Great Grandparents, who moved to Jackson Ward in the 1890's. Mr. Flowers studied history at the University of Virginia and Harvard University, while a Fellow in The Kennedy School of Government. Among his many contributions to Richmond, Virginia, Gary Flowers currently serves on the faculty of the Valentine Museum tourism department, and is a Certified Ambassador Guide by Richmond Region "I am Tourism " Ambassador Academy.

OUR IMPACT
Walking the Ward with Gary Flowers reveals the deliberately hidden history of the Historic Jackson Ward of Richmond, Virginia. As host of The Gary Flowers Show on radio, Mr. Flowers informs his global audience that the Commonwealth of Virginia, especially Richmond, may well be "Ground Zero" of the American Empire.
