The Global Meaningful Travel Map
Solsgirth Home Farm
OUR EXPERIENCES
Solsgirth Home Farm offers high-quality, nature-focused experiences in the heart of Scotland. Travellers can stay on the farm, explore the land through personal guided tours, take part in a range of seasonal workshops, from craft and cookery classes to conservation and sustainability sessions, all rounded off with a home-cooked lunch made using our own farm produce. We also sell our own farm goods, including honey, eggs, and meat, all rooted in our values of environmental stewardship, education, and responsible living.
ABOUT US
Solsgirth Home Farm is a working farm and rural retreat near Dollar, rooted in a full-circle ethos where everything works in harmony with nature. From beekeeping to apple pressing, animal care to land management, our interconnected approach reflects a deep commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Our vision is to be a model for rural tourism and community-led initiatives — connecting people with place, celebrating Scotland’s rich agricultural and cultural heritage, and promoting sustainable living for future generations. Responsible tourism is embedded in all that we do, from how we care for the land to how we welcome our guests.
OUR IMPACT
Solsgirth Home Farm is a regenerative farm and visitor destination focused on sustainability, education, and rural heritage. We use nature-friendly farming, support wildlife, and work with the Red Squirrel Survival Trust to protect native species.
Our composting system handles on-site waste, and we use renewable energy including heat pumps, biomass, solar panels, and EV chargers. A new wildlife pond collects car park run-off, reducing impact and boosting biodiversity.
We offer farm tours, workshops, and school visits to help people—especially young families—connect with food, nature, and land care.
Community is central to our work, with events that support local makers and celebrate rural Scotland. We're committed to inclusive tourism, with improved accessibility and a public access guide.
Visitors leave with a meaningful, low-impact connection to Scotland’s land and culture.
