ABOUT US

Whitby Distillery is a small, independent distillery based on the North Yorkshire coast, founded in 2017 and inspired by the surrounding landscape and maritime heritage. Whitby Distillery produces award-winning gins and spirits using a blend of traditional and locally sourced botanicals, reflecting a “beach to batch” philosophy. The distillery began as a small-scale operation and has grown into a recognised craft producer while maintaining a hands-on, small-batch approach. Visitors are welcomed into an intimate setting where the production process, ingredients, and brand story are shared directly by the team. Experiences are rooted in local identity, combining Yorkshire heritage, coastal inspiration, and craftsmanship to create authentic and engaging visitor experiences. This Impact Partner was shared by the Good Travel Institute as one of their Good Travel Experiences. Each Good Travel Experience is evaluated through a clear and recognised framework, ensuring measurable social, cultural, environmental, and economic benefits for local communities.
