ABOUT US
Bates Farm is a nature-first adventure destination rooted in sustainable outdoor experiences. We inspire a deeper connection to the natural world through primitive camping, hands-on nature education, and immersive wilderness adventures — cultivating a love of the outdoors while honoring and preserving the land for future generations.
IMPACT
Bates Farm creates meaningful, measurable impact across multiple areas. Educationally, our Off-Grid Kids Survival Science Classes and Nature Academy partnership with Shoalseer.org deliver immersive, place-based learning that connects children and adults to native plants, wildlife, and outdoor survival skills — inspiring responsible stewardship of the natural world. Environmentally, our primitive campground is intentionally low-impact, embracing a nature-first philosophy that minimizes land disturbance while encouraging guests to engage respectfully with the surrounding ecosystem. Community, we reinvest locally through partnerships with regional organizations and create accessible outdoor experiences for families in an area with limited nature-based tourism infrastructure. Awareness Building, every experience at Bates Farm — from wilderness archery to outdoor escape games — is designed to foster a deeper connection to nature and model sustainable outdoor recreation, communicating conservation values through storytelling, interpretation, and hands-on discovery.
