ABOUT US
Doolin Ferry is a family-run company committed to providing safe, memorable, and sustainable maritime experiences along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Our mission is to connect people with the natural beauty, heritage, and community of the Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher through responsible tourism. With a focus on innovation, environmental stewardship, and genuine hospitality, we aim to create meaningful journeys that support local livelihoods and preserve the region for future generations.
OUR IMPACT
Doolin Ferry creates tangible impact across several key areas. Socially and culturally, we promote access to the Aran Islands, sustaining local businesses, craftspeople, and guides, by supporting traditional ways of life through tourism. Our partnerships with island-based operators—like pony and trap drivers, knitwear producers, and local cafés—generate direct income and visibility for small community enterprises. Environmentally, our newest vessel, the Cliffs of Moher Express, is partly solar-powered, equipped with an emissions reduction system that cuts harmful outputs by 90%, and is designed to reduce motion sickness, improving both sustainability and accessibility. We educate visitors through guided commentary available in multiple languages, enhancing cultural understanding and appreciation of this remote and fragile region. As a family-owned business, our model prioritizes ethical governance, regional resilience, and a deep-rooted commitment to the people and place we serve.
