Pocket House Studio

Experience traditional rug weaving, meet rare sheep, and enjoy organic highland teas in a unique, eco-friendly setting surrounded by nature.

OUR EXPERIENCES
Ethical rug weavers, selling from our croft and working with our own no-kill flock. Visitors can experience spinning and weaving sheep's wool in a traditional weaving workshop, as well as viewing Island dye plants and meeting the rare breed and rescue sheep. Our rugs are exported all over the world, and we spin and weave on strict ethical and organic principles.

ABOUT US
To create rugs using traditional looms. Our 'Touch the Earth lightly' principles mean that you could take one of our rugs, lay it out on the moor that surrounds our workshop, and very slowly over the years it would become one with the earth, leaving no trace at all, leaving no dyes, chemicals, or harmful products.

OUR IMPACT
We rescue sheep who live out their lives here, and we use only organic cleaners and wraps. We welcome all visitors and are happy to work with any dietary requirements for the highland teas we offer.
