This Meaningful Travel Map Impact Partner was brought to our attention by Soy Ecoturista. Soy Ecoturista is a non-profit association that groups destinations and companies in Spain offering authentic ecotourism experiences in territories with protected areas. All members of Soy Ecoturista meet a series of environmental and social requirements that guarantee the traveler their contribution to the conservation of biodiversity and to the local development of the areas they visit.

IMPACT
Our ecotourism project generates positive impact in governance, community, and environmental conservation. The company is certified by the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism and is part of the Ecotourism Clubs of Spain and Castilla y León, collaborating with the Las Loras Geopark and the Montaña Palentina Natural Park. This contributes to rural employment and the hiring of local staff. Our rural accommodations restore traditional 17th-century houses using local materials and prioritize nearby (km 0) suppliers. In addition, we organize awareness activities and monitoring projects for threatened flora and fauna, promoting responsible wildlife observation—especially of species such as wolves—while fostering environmental education and conservation of the territory.
