Talking Rock Tours
OUR EXPERIENCES
Talking Rock provides educational small group tours of the geological wonders of Alberta, including both natural and cultural history storytelling components. Along with guided hikes through beautiful natural areas, participants also hear mini-talks (5 to 10 minutes) during each journey to provide even more educational background to your experience.
ABOUT US
Talking Rock Tours is Alberta’s first geo-educational hiking and sightseeing adventure company. We conduct geo-educational small group memorable experiences in Alberta. You will learn about the natural and cultural history of the geological wonders through an Indigenous lens. We end all discovery tours with a sharing circle of Indigenous storytelling and teachings to create a unique holistic experience. Overall, the three main tour take-a-ways are: science for the MIND, stories from the HEART, and the history of the LAND. All guests will find themselves inspired on many levels once they fully appreciate the land that they are visiting because every rock and stone has a story to tell.
OUR IMPACT
Talking Rock Tours shares local Indigenous history, knowledge, music, and ceremony during all discovery tours to create a lasting memorable experience for all guests, so that they can become an agent of positive change and share what they learnt with their loved ones and friends just like ripples in a pond. Indigenous tourism is the best path in the journey of reconciliation in action! Learn the truth about the black eyes of Canadian history and come walk with us as we heal together.
