ABOUT US
At Glen Mhor & Uile-Bheist, we are redefining hospitality with a focus on sustainability, green energy innovation, mental health and diversity. Our mission is to provide exceptional guest experiences while minimising our environmental impact. In 2022, we opened an energy centre to eliminate gas usage, providing water and heating through sustainable sources, including Solar PV. We align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, addressing social poverty, mental health, and environmental sustainability. Key initiatives include paying the Real Living Wage, supporting local homeless programs, and reducing our carbon footprint through responsible energy consumption and sustainable sourcing.
OUR IMPACT
At the Glen Mhor Hotel & Apartments, we are deeply committed to both social and environmental responsibility. Environmentally, we’ve reduced our grid reliance by 90% with our innovative on-site energy center allowing us to become a more sustainable business. We use water from the River Ness, filtered and heated by solar PV systems to supply all hotel operations, any water that isn't used is returned clean, ensuring it is safe for wildlife, to the River Ness. This approach reduces our carbon footprint while future-proofing our business. Socially, we support diversity, equality and inclusion through living wage commitments, mental health support and inclusive hiring practices. By aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we ensure our efforts positively impact both our community and the planet.
