ABOUT US
Located on the Mourne Coast, NearyNógs is Ireland’s oldest bean-to-bar craft chocolate maker. Our small-batch process ensures each cacao bean’s unique flavor shines. We ethically source sustainable cacao, supporting fair wages and the Rainforest Alliance.

Committed to sustainability, we run on solar energy, and all packaging is recycled, recyclable, or biodegradable. Founded in 2011 as a family fundraiser, NearyNógs has grown into a passion-driven business. The name comes from family stories written by Johnnie Neary, with Nógs inspired by Tír na nÓg, the Irish legend of the land of eternal youth.

Visit us to see chocolate made from bean to bar, enjoy a guided tour or tasting, and shop our range of chocolates—including dairy-free, gluten-free, and sugar-free options.

OUR IMPACT
We are a craft chocolate company committed to ethically and sustainably sourcing cocoa beans, paying a higher margin than big industry to combat human trafficking and slavery. Powered by solar energy, we use biodegradable or recyclable packaging and repurpose all waste. This year, we are expanding our solar panel capacity to further our sustainability efforts.

We welcome visitors of all ages and backgrounds, including students, tourists, and those with special or dietary needs. Our goal is to make chocolate-making accessible to everyone, allowing guests to hear, taste, see, and experience the process firsthand.
