ABOUT US

Hotel Rural La Puebla is a small, owner-built, family-run hotel. We offer comfortable rooms and a warm, personal welcome in one of northern Spain’s most scenic villages—perfect for travelers seeking nature, heritage, and a quiet place to slow down and explore the canyon landscapes around the Ebro. We’re committed to our surroundings, collaborating with Geoparque Las Loras and prioritizing local, nearby products whenever possible.

IMPACT

We operate an owner-built, family-run rural hotel designed for long-term stewardship of Orbaneja del Castillo, prioritizing decisions that protect the village’s character over mass tourism (Governance/Business Model). We strengthen the local economy by recommending and prioritizing nearby, locally produced food and services so guest spending supports small producers and businesses in the area (Social/Cultural & Community). Through our collaboration with Geoparque Las Loras, we actively direct travelers toward responsible routes, viewpoints, and visitor resources, helping disperse visits, reduce pressure on fragile spots, and promote respectful behavior in the canyon environment (Environmental). At check-in and in our guest guidance, we share practical advice on low-impact hiking and heritage-friendly travel—stay on paths, respect wildlife and residents, and carry out litter—so each stay becomes an opportunity for awareness-building (Education/Awareness).
