Halen Môn is an award-winning sea salt producer based on the Isle of Anglesey, Wales. Visitors can discover how our world-famous sea salt is made from the clean waters of the Menai Strait through our immersive Saltcote experience, tasting our products and learning about our unique landscape, local food culture and the people behind the business.
ABOUT US
Halen Môn is a family-run business rooted on the Isle of Anglesey, producing award-winning sea salt from the Menai Strait. We celebrate our unique sense of place, supporting our local community and protecting the natural environment on which our business depends.
IMPACT
We take seawater from the Menai Strait and turn it into Halen Môn Sea Salt, creating skilled local employment and supporting Anglesey’s food and visitor economy. As a family-run business, we work with Welsh producers and suppliers wherever possible and use our Saltcote visitor experience to connect thousands of visitors with the island’s landscape, food heritage and the story of sea salt production.
Environmental responsibility is embedded in how we operate. We have invested in renewable energy, responsible packaging and resource-efficient production, while continually working to reduce waste and our environmental footprint. Through tours, tastings and education, we help visitors understand the relationship between food, landscape and natural resources, encouraging a deeper appreciation of the Menai Strait and the importance of protecting the environment on which our business and community depend.
