ABOUT US

At Hotel Sol Caribe Campo we work to meet our guests’ expectations through quality service and the creation of memorable experiences. Our management approach integrates sustainability as a cross-cutting priority, seeking to improve the quality of life of our team and the local community while minimizing the environmental impact of our operations.

IMPACT

Hotel Sol Caribe Campo holds sustainability certification under the Colombian Sectoral Technical Standard NTS-TS 002 and the Colombian Environmental Seal NTC 5133, demonstrating compliance with verified standards in environmental, sociocultural, and economic management.

Environmental impact
We implemented a circular economy program by recycling more than 900 kilograms of unused curtains and transforming them into beach bags given to guests as souvenirs. This initiative reduced textile waste and promoted the reuse of materials within our operations.

We eliminated single-use plastics across the property. In bathroom amenities alone we achieved a 70% reduction in plastic use.

We replaced plastic snack trays with ecological alternatives, reducing approximately 200 plastic trays per day.

These actions are monitored within our environmental management system and form part of our ongoing commitments to continuous improvement.

Social and community impact
Hotel Sol Caribe Campo prioritizes hiring local and inclusive talent. Currently, 82 members of our team are raizal community members, strengthening the participation of the island’s Indigenous population in tourism.

In addition, of the 241 women employed by the company, 141 are heads of household, helping support economic stability and social development on the island.

We also provide opportunities for inclusion and promote access to training and education, allowing team members to work while continuing their studies and strengthening their professional development.

Through these actions, Hotel Sol Caribe Campo seeks to demonstrate that a tourism operation can generate local economic impact, strengthen the social fabric of the community, and reduce its environmental footprint in measurable ways.
