Hawaii Forest & Trail

Hawaii Forest & Trail

Experience breathtaking landscapes, active volcanoes, and native forests with small group adventures led by expert guides, fostering deep connections to nature.

OUR EXPERIENCES
Hawaii Forest & Trail offers all inclusive adventures that explore active volcanoes, waterfalls, lava tubes, native forests, Maunakea Summit and the island’s National Parks. What's different is our small group sizes, unrivaled access to private and restricted land, and highly trained Interpretive Guides who share knowledge and stories of the land. This provides a more personal experience for our guests that inspires a deep connection and appreciation for the island.

ABOUT US
Our Vision: To share the splendor of Hawai’i Nei and inspire a deep connection with our natural world.

Our Mission: To Deliver an excellent, safe & fun learning experience to our guests, support our communities and resources through philanthropy, sustainable business practices and a conservation ethic, and provide a healthy, profitable and rewarding environment for our ‘Ohana.

About Us: Operating for over 30 years, Hawaii Forest & Trail is a family owned and operated business on Hawaii Island. Our founders, Rob and Cindy Pacheco, envisioned sharing the splendor of Hawaii's Natural world in a way that would create deep and lasting connections between our guests and places they visit, so that those guests would want to preserve these fragile environments for future generations. Today we have delivered that experience to nearly 500,000 guests over the past 30 years.

OUR IMPACT
We go through great lengths to minimize our impact in any way possible, Our Headquarters is 100% solar powered, we have completely eliminated single use plastic waterbottles and provide reusable water bottles or and/or water refills for our guests. Our catering is 100% made by small local businesses, and our business is operated by a diverse group of 50 + employees who all live in the communities we operate in. Our Mauna Kea Giveback Experience allows guests and opportunity to participate in service work in a rare Native Forest habitat while also raising money for kids programs in that forest.

What we are most proud of is that in 2019 Hawaii Forest & Trail Established the Iiwi Fund which provides between more than $40,000 annually to local 501 (c)3 Non-Profits that benfits the conservation of Hawaii eco systems, hawaiian culture, or facilitates interaction with youth and nature.
