Paisley Tours
OUR EXPERIENCES
Paisley Tours offers guided walking tours and immersive indoor storytelling sessions that explore the town’s global heritage – from the iconic Paisley Pattern and textile mills to witch trials, royal history, and world-changing inventions. All tours are led by expert local guides and designed to be fully inclusive, with wireless headsets, step-free route options, and seated indoor alternatives using large-screen projection. As a non-profit, we also offer volunteering and creative opportunities for local residents interested in heritage, performance, and community engagement.
ABOUT US
Paisley Tours is the trading name of Paisley Community Partnership, a registered non-profit social enterprise based in Renfrewshire, Scotland.
We offer immersive walking tours and indoor storytelling sessions that reveal the rich cultural heritage of Paisley – from the Coats and Clark thread empire and the iconic Paisley Pattern to the 1697 witch trials, royal burials, and figures like William Wallace and John Witherspoon.
Our experiences are designed to be inclusive and adaptable, with wireless headsets, step-free route options, and seated indoor sessions using large-screen projection for those with mobility needs.
All profits are reinvested into local regeneration, heritage education, and inclusive tourism projects. We work in partnership with schools, VisitScotland, local authorities and heritage groups to ensure tourism benefits the wider community.
We don’t just tell Paisley’s story – we empower local voices, promote pride of place, and use cultural tourism as a lasting force for good.
OUR IMPACT
Paisley Tours is a values-led social enterprise that reinvests 100% of profits into the local community. Governed by the non-profit Paisley Community Partnership, we ensure tourism benefits people—not private shareholders.
Our tours highlight underrepresented histories, from the 1697 witch trials to working-class mill workers and local pioneers like James Goodfellow and John Witherspoon. We train and employ local storytellers, artists, and freelancers to foster cultural pride and create meaningful work.
We offer free school workshops, accessible learning resources, and creative activities for families. Our seated, step-free options ensure older adults and disabled participants can engage fully with local heritage.
Our environmental impact is low: tours are on foot, venues are within existing town centre spaces, and we promote public transport and sustainable, community-led regeneration.
We believe tourism should leave places stronger—not just visited, but valued.
