Made In Stirling
OUR EXPERIENCES
Made in Stirling offers meet the maker experiences that give a platform to our collective of local artists and makers to grow in confidence. It is an opportunity for tourists to come into the store after hours and have an exclusive conversation with one of our talented artists or makers, where they tell them about their practices and the inspiration for their art.
ABOUT US
Made in Stirling's vision is to create a vibrant, curated marketplace with the space and capacity for artists and makers to sell, learn, make, and teach. To revitalize Stirling’s town centre through participation in Arts & Culture, offering unique creative experiences in our reimagined department store. Our mission is to reinvigorate our local high street and retail economy through access to arts and culture. Supporting the Creative community by upholding a sustainable creative enterprise business model. Building an innovative ecosystem for creators, consumers, educators, and our local communities. Our Value is to empower the community of artists and makers across central Scotland by providing access to, and the opportunity for, creative enterprise, sector-specific business support, peer knowledge exchange, and education.
OUR IMPACT
Made in Stirling is a CIC and the trading branch of the charity Creative Stirling. We operate with a commission model in which we take 30% of shop sales, but all of those proceeds go towards Creative Stirling to continue their support of our local community. Creative Stirling, as a creative agency for Stirling, asserts change through enterprise, arts and culture, working with and for all of Stirling’s diverse communities.
